Man Cave...er...Bear Cave

On Saturday morning as soon as the boys ate breakfast, they were begging for me to let them go outside and play. I managed to keep them in the house until about 9:00 am, but since it wasn't raining, I couldn't keep giving them excuses. Since it only sprinkled off and on all day, they would just go in the garage and play until the rain stopped and then head back outside. Finally when dinner was ready about 6:30 Saturday night they came in for the night. I washed just the clothes they wore that day by itself, and I had to run it thru the rinse cycle at least three times after cleaning out the washer each time. They had so much sand on their clothes and in the washer that I could have built a small sandcastle.

Sunday morning they were ready to go outside to play as soon as they ate breakfast. I managed to keep them in the house again until 9:00 am, but relented as I was tired of hearing them beg. I told them that if it rains they have to come in the house. When the rain started about 12:30, they were in the garage and asked if they could just play in the garage. I asked them if they wanted me to put the garage door down so that it didn't rain in, but they would have none of that. I said that was fine if they wanted to play in the garage, but how about they eat some lunch. Nathan wanted a cold meat sandwich and Darren wanted the "meatballs" I was putting in the beef stew. I gave them their requested items and told them to sit at the bar. Nathan asked if they could eat in the garage. I knew that they would eat, so I told them to go ahead. I peeked out there and seen Nathan sitting in the drivers seat of the mower with his legs kicked up on the steering and Darren was on the hood of the mower straddling it. After they finished their main course, they came in and asked for applesauce. Then they asked for a gogurt (yogurt in a tube) after that.

When Bruce got back from the neighbors I was telling him how they boys ate out in the garage in their "man cave." Nathan heard me and piped up and said that it was a "bear cave." I guess the boys are just happy as long as they are outside.
