Darren's three year checkup

I had a passing thought the other day that Darren probably needed his three year checkup, but it was after hours for the doctors office so I told myself to call later. Of course I forgot until MaryLou from daycare told me that I needed a new physical sheet for him. Darren has been to the doctor enough that he shouldn't be scared, but he was for some reason. The only thing that I can think of is about three months ago we took him to the health department to get his immunizations, and they were wearing the white lab coats at the health department. The doctors office had white lab coats, and he probably made the correlation of white lab coats and shots. It is either that or he remembers having his tonsils out last summer.

He was 39 1/2" tall which placed him in the 90th percentile for height and 32 pounds which placed him on the 55th percentile for weight. I was actually surprised that he weighed that much! They wanted to perform a hearing test, but since he screamed and carried on when they took his blood pressure, I told them that he probably won't sit for it. Since I have no concerns with his hearing, I told them that maybe we can try it next year. Hopefully he will get over his fear of the doctor by then!
