Teeth?

This past weekend, we watched Brian's kids overnight on Saturday. When Susie dropped them off, Darren was playing shy and sat on my lap the entire time. As he was sitting there, I thought that he felt warm so as soon as Susie left Bruce took his temperature. It was a 102.3 under the arm! We immediately gave him some Motrin and you could tell when it kicked in as he was running and screaming with his brother and cousins. Unfortunately the medicine only lasted a few hours until he was feeling miserable again. He was awake off and on all night, so it was a long night for us. Around 5:30 in the morning, he woke up again and I just put him in bed with us. At that point he was burning up, but I figured that I would wait until morning to give him medicine this way he is good to go for a couple of hours. When we woke up around 7:30, his fever had apparently broken. The only thing we can figure out is that he had a fever due to his two year molars. He has been slobbering and chewing on his fingers. Of course we can't stick our fingers in his mouth to check as he thinks it is a game and will bite us.

Nathan never took a nap Saturday before his cousins came over, so he got tired pretty quickly. At one point in the evening, when he didn't get his way, he said he was going to bed. Another time he became a tattle-tale. Alex is usually a monster when his parents are around, but he was very well behaved for us; Nathan was the pill on Saturday. They did have fun if the screaming was any indication!
