From the mouth of babes....

Nathan is still learning about food groups at daycare, and they are working on the vegetable group this week. When I originally spoke to Nathan about what vegetable he wanted to bring, so last night I asked him again. I started naming corn, peas, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery among others. He looks at me and tells me that he wants to bring in corn on the cob. I said that no store has corn on the cob right now. He tells me that Grandpa can grow it, and I told him that Grandpa can't grow it in one night. He was disappointed that Grandpa couldn't grow anything that fast. He settled on bringing in regular corn instead.

Somehow Darren has learned the word "awesome." It is so funny to hear him say it. A lot of times he will raise his arms (like referee's do in football when they score a field goal) and say it. We will be in the van in the morning on the way to work, and he will say it. I will ask him if Mom is awesome, if Dad is awesome, if Nathan is awesome or if another relative is awesome. Depending on his mood, the answer is not always yes! If he says I am not awesome, I will act like I am mad or crying and he just laughs. He is a really fun age and has learned how to tease and enjoys teasing us.
