Rowdy boys

I got an e-mail from Nathan’s teacher on Thursday saying that Nathan has been running in the halls, yelling and just not listening. He had to stand at recess on Wednesday for not behaving. He repeated the same behavior on Thursday and I think his teacher realized that her punishments were not working. She e-mailed me to let me know how he had been acting and to let me know that she was going to have the principal talk to him. When he got home that night, I also gave him several punishments and threatened not to let him to go to the Monster Truck show.

We got home Saturday about 5:30. Bruce and I were in a hurry because we were going out that night with friends and they were picking us up a little after 6:00. The boys decided that they wanted chicken noodle soup for dinner, so I opened a family size can. Justin tells me that he does not want it. He keeps crying and whining and I tell him that he does not have to eat it if he does not want to. I go into my bedroom to get ready when I hear a pan hit the floor. In a fit of anger, he says that he does not want it and pulls the pan off the stove. Luckily I had just turned the burner on, so the soup was not hot yet. I know he was over-tired, but Bruce and I were not happy with Justin. They ended up eating a frozen pizza that night for dinner.
