Monster Trucks

As part of Darren’s birthday gift, we took the boys to the afternoon Monster Truck show on Saturday at the Nutter Center. I knew it would be loud, but holy cow! Bruce managed to get his hands on three ear muffs for the boys because I didn’t think they would keep the ear plugs in. You could feel the rumble of the trucks on the floor and even in your stomach which the boys thought was really cool.

I am not sure why we brought Justin a seat because he sat on my lap the whole time. The boys thought it was really exciting, but they got bored easily in the down time between the competitions. Towards the end, Justin took off his ear muffs, stuck him thumb in his mouth, turned sideways on my lap and fell asleep! Since his one ear was against my chest, I held my hand over his other ear to block out the worst of the noise. Overall it was a pretty fun Saturday afternoon.
