I was starting to worry that Justin would never take to baby food, but lately he has been eating it with gusto. When I started feeding it to the other boys at three months of age, they loved it and I never had any problems feeding it to them. Justin has finally started to act like he enjoys eating baby food and table food. He had two jars of baby food last night and acted like he could eat more. When the boys are having a snack, we sit Justin in his high chair and he has snacks of puff popcorn, Townhouse crackers, Kix cereal and any other food that is soft. Unfortunately his hand-eye coordination isn't very well and he ends up with more food in his high chair than he does in his mouth.
He also has taken to getting up on all fours and "launching" himself to get across the room. He is so funny to watch because he gets up on all fours, starts rocking and then brings his knees up to his hands. He also can really get around by rolling. I have also seen him extend his hand to the side of his body while laying on his belly, and pull/turn himself almost 90 degrees so that he can get the toy that he wants. The other day he was at the end of the love seat and I went into the kitchen to peek out the window to check on the older two boys who were playing outside. After checking on them, I peeked back into the living room and couldn't see him from the kitchen. I had to walk into the dinning room and discovered that he had maneuvered himself in front of the entertainment center. While in the kitchen making beef stew for supper (I got out of work a few hours early on Tuesday because of all the snow and wind. Bruce was still at work) I kept peeking into the living room and he was all over the living room floor. From Bruce's chair to the spot where we keep the jumper to under the end table by my chair. At least he was keeping himself entertained.
He is also an old pro at sitting up, but you can tell that he prefers to be laying down. He will sit there if you sit and talk to him, but as soon as you move away he tips himself over so that he can play with his toys just outside his reach.
He is always so happy, and he had finally started sleeping thru the night again. Yeah! He was up twice during the night at Mom's when we got snowed in the other day.
