"Don't copy me!"

I know that I have not posted in a while, but I have been super busy lately.

This morning as I was helping the boys get dressed, Darren said that he wanted to wear a shirt like Nathan. Then later as we were pulling out of the driveway, I pointed out an icicle that was neat looking. Nathan said that was "cool." Immediately Darren chimes up and says that it is "cool." That upset Nathan. He told Darren, "Don't copy me!"

I explained to him that as the oldest, his little brother wants to be like him so that is why he repeats and does everything that Nathan does. I told him that when I was little that I was the oldest and aunt Susan always wanted to do everything that I did. Nathan then asks in disbelief, "You are older than Susan?"

Yeah for me! Not so good for Susan though. I am not sure if he understood the point I was trying to make, but at least I got my feel good moment in for the day!
