Hair everywhere

I know that it is normal to lose some hair. When I was pregnant, I did not lose much hair at all and up until about a month or two ago that was still the case. I don't know if it is because my hormones are out of whack or what, but I have been shedding hair like crazy. I have thick hair, but with all the hair I am losing, I am almost starting to worry. If I brush my hair, I get a small clump that comes out in the brush and then I can run my hands over my hair and pull out some more lose hairs. I wash my hair and another small clump falls out. I get out of the shower and comb my hair again, and another clump. After I blow dry I lose another clump when I comb my hair. When I straighten my hair, I lose yet another clump when I brush it after straightening it. I keep a fleece jacket on my chair at work (for the days I have to go outside in the cold or in the shop for some reason) and I pick several hairs off my jacket daily. I pull laundry out of the dryer, and while I am folding clothes, I pull my long hairs off. Enough is enough. I am almost ready to go and see a doctor about it.
