Hot flashes!

The human bosy is a mysterious thing. On Saturday I watched Danielle and Alex so that Brian could get some work done and Susie could get some rest after her surgery. I know that they had to be worn out as they were outside almost all afternoon. I walked outside in the morning when I needed a break from cleaning the boys room, and when I was in the shade with the wind blowing, I thought it felt good. Therefore, that is how I got roped into watching the kids outside when they were playing. When Darren was taking his nap, we went to the park and I sat on a bench in the shade and read my book. I thought that it felt quite refreshing. After the kids left, I made dinner for my crew, cleaned up the dishes and decided to take a shower. After my shower and early that evening I walked outside to do something else. I walked outside and thought that it was flipping hot out! I even stood in the shade and waited for the breeze and still thought the same thing. Not sure why the heat never bothered me in the hottest part of the day, and then bothered me later that evening.

That night around midnight I woke up and I was sweating like I just ran a marathon. I was drenched in sweat, and I didn't even have any covers on! Since we don't have central air, we keep our window air conditioner in our bedroom set at 70F, and I was still roasting. I got up, changed pajamas, stuck my head in the freezer for a minute, grabbed an ice pack, stuck it on my neck and laid on the couch. About two hours later, I woke up and the ice pack was now just a gel pack, so I put it back in the fridge and crawled back in bed. I stayed cool the rest of the night. (although I still never needed any covers)
