Camp out

This past weekend some friends of ours hosted a camp out at their house. They have about five-acres of land and live on a seldom traveled road. I decided early on that I wasn't camping in a tent since I am have enough trouble sleeping in my own bed. The plan was that I take Darren home in the evenings and Bruce would camp in the tent with Nathan. On Friday night I went out with Darren and we were having a good time until it started raining. Once I was wet, I decided that I had enough and left for home once there was a break in the rain. I got home with Darren approximately 10:00. I put him to bed and decided that I was hungry so set about making myself a snack. Then about 10:30 I only had a few chapters remaining in my book so I decided to finish it. At 11:00 I hear the garage door open and in walk Nathan and Bruce. Apparently after I left Nathan had a change of heart and wanted to come home. Another couple from Loramie that was not planning on camping that night either, dropped them off.

We get back out to the "campgrounds" Saturday around noon. When we arrive, there is a huge blow-up slide. We decided that with at least twelve couples, it was well worth the money spent as there were kids on it from the time we got there until the we deflated it a 11:00 pm. Darren had a ball just being outside all day. At one point Darren was playing on the other side of the house (opposite side of where the tents and campfire was set up) and I was watching him when Nathan asked if I could help him ride a bike. This bike had no training wheels and he was bound and determined to learn how to ride without them. I spent five minutes with him, and he had it figured out. He still has a problem starting out, but he gets that honestly as I have troubles once in a while. Around 11:00 pm I decided that I was ready to head home for the night and I asked Nathan if he wanted to stay or go home with me. He said that he wanted to stay, but Bruce was confident that he would change his mind in the middle of the night so I went home with two boys and left my husband so he could sleep in the tent.
