Grounded from bike

I know it is common with all kids, but my kids seem to have a real listening problem lately. We will tell them to stop, they look at us and go back to doing whatever it was they were doing. Only when we start walking towards them do they stop.

This past Sunday we spent the afternoon at my sisters house for my niece's birthday party. I tried to stay long enough that once we got home, they could just climb into bed and go to sleep for the night. When we get home I am telling the boys to go in the house. Darren gets on his bike and starts to ride it. On my several trips between the van and the house unloading the van, I told Darren to park the bike and get in the house. It was only after I foced him off the bike that he listened. To get his attention, I took his bike away from him and have it riding around in the back of my van. Every night he has asked for it and every night he does something that prevents him from getting his bike back. I know he is enjoying the freedom of having a bike with no training wheels, but he had better start listening better if he ever wants to ride a bike again!
