Anyone hungry?

The other night at the dinner table (the same night Justin was singing the Ozzy Osborne song) I watched Nathan devour an entire T-bone steak, and half of another one. He ate several helpings of green beans and several helpings of scalloped potatoes. It would be safe to say that he ate twice as much as I did and he is only seven! Granted, he is a tall, solid seven, but still.

When we go to a fast food restaurant and get Nathan a Kids Meal, he always asks if he can get a second meal. He has come home from school certain days and said that he ate his entire lunch and he was still hungry after eating it.

When Nathan or his brothers start eating to fill their hollow leg, I can only watch in amazement and fear. Amazement because I wonder where they are storing all this food and fear, not because I worry about them getting fat (they are too active for that), but in fear for my wallet. Thank goodness that we get beef and pork from my family. The green beans we ate the other night came from the garden, so the only real expense in that was our time and supplies to can them. Bruce or I may have to get a second job just to buy groceries!

Lisa, I have the same fears as you. Imagine what they'll be like as teenagers! AaaahhH!
